A wonderfully crystallised specimen of golden-tan Siderite from Knappenberg in Carinthia state, Austria.  The habit of this excellent cabinet display specimen is fractal-like in that each crystal, or group of crystals, is a subset of a similar larger group, and so on, up to the largest.  Individual, slightly curved rhombic crystals of only a few mm group to form similar, larger structures and this is repeated up the largest fan-like groups of over 3 cm across.  A superb Knappenberg Siderite.
