Azurite with Malachite ps. after Azurite

ID: CC19092
This rather obscure locality at Seabra in Bahia, Brazil is know for its beautifully crystallised Azurite with Malachite pseudomorphs.  This specimen is a good representative miniature of stacked Azurite and Malachite rosettes averaging 8 to 10 mm diameter and formed over a sooty-black and rusty-brown Limonite matrix.  The majority of rosettes are excellent Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite, with approximately 20% remaining as mid-azure blue Azurite.  A terrific miniature.
