The entire upper surface of a milky-white cryptocrystalline Quartz matrix is coated in parallel, stalactitic-like micro-botryoidal rods of bluish sea-green Pseudomalachite forming a striking specimen.  This is simply labelled “Cornwall”; possible candidates for its specific locality include Penberthy Croft mine at St. Hilary, NE of Marazion and Wheal Owles at Botallack.  Neither of these mines can be stated with any degree of certainty, but both have produced good quality Pseudomalachite similar to this.  Micro-hemispheres of light green Malachite are dotted over some of the surface.
