A beautiful and most striking specimen of rich emerald-green primary Malachite from the Onganja mine at Seeis, to the north-east of Windhoek in Namibia.  The Malachite forms bright, lustrous silky plates composed of stacked, parallel acicular crystals of Malachite.  Many of these platy crystals well exceed 2 x 1 cm and are associated with a little attached tan and creamy-grey Calcite.
