A gorgeous and outstanding cabinet specimen of beautifully crystallised, deep bottle-green Epidote dusted with colourless Quartz crystals, one of which is flattened, showing Japan law twinning.  From the classic occurrence at Green Monster Mountain on Prince of Wales Island, Alaska, this is a museum quality specimen that can be displayed from any angle or side, even the underside is spectacular.  Th Epidote crystals typically average about 2 cm long, but one spectacular crystal measures 4.3 x 2.0 x 1.8 cm.  Where transmitted light penetrates the crystal edges, the Epidote is a neon deep leaf-green.  A very fine and truly great Epidote with Quartz from Green Monster Mountain, USA.
