A long and thin Calcite plate completely covered with well developed nail-head Calcite crystals from Parc Mine at Llanrwst in the Gwydyr Forest area, Conwy, Wales.  The nail-head crystals reach 1.4 cm between flats and are translucent milky-cream tinged various shades of grey.  A good example of Calcite nail-head crystal development from Parc mine, Wales.
