Quartz

ID: CC19319
A large miniature group of transparent Quartz crystals with a bright glassy lustre from Twll Maen Grisial at Fron Olau, Prenteg, in Gwynedd, Wales.  This area of Wales is well known for its Alpine cleft-type mineralisation and this group of colourless to slightly milky Quartz crystals is very representative of the Quartz groups historically found in North Wales.  Crystals are between 2 and 4.5 cm tall with sharp, skewed terminations.
