A really terrific miniature of the variety of Chalcopyrite known as Blister Copper from Dolcoath mine, Camborne, Cornwall.  Blister Copper is very well known from the classic mining district between the towns of Camborne and Redruth, and always makes a most pleasing (if not essential!) addition to any Cornish collection.  This ex-matrix botryoidal mass has a beautiful tarnished patina of dark metallic chocolate-brown with brassy pisolitic mounds which highlight the extremities of the surface.
