Deep violet-carmine-red acicular crystals of the antimony oxysulphide Kermesite, form a rich vein section in a matrix of interlayered milky Quartz and sooty-black county rock. This choice miniature is from Kermesite’s type locality at Bräunsdorf in the Freiberg District of Saxony, Germany and is considered a true German classic.
