A specimen of massive, non-crystalline, platy lead-grey Melonite intermixed with bright golden Pyrite, attached to a 2.5 x 2.0 x 0.6 cm block of greyish-milky Quartz.  Melonite is a nickel telluride (NiTe2) and forms laminated platy blocks to 1 cm thick in this fine specimen from the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Shire mining region in Western Australia.
