This pleasing small miniature Fluorite is from the W├Âlsendorf Fluorite Mining District in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany and is a delightful combination of stepped cubic crystals in multiple shades of violet, blackberry and plumb-purple.  Although the overall specimen is opaque, individual Fluorite crystals are semi-transparent to translucent, often with dark purple outer shells grading to light violet centres.  The cubic crystals range from 0.2 to 1.5 cm and are built in coarsely-pixelated steps.  Opaque milky-white granular Quartz is scattered between some crystals and colourless, gemmy and lustrous micro-Quartz crystals provide a final dusting.  A lovely specimen.
