Without wishing to overstate, this description must begin with a massive Wow!  This very reasonably priced Chinese Malachite is quite simply delicious and gorgeous.  No matter how many Malachites you have seen over the years, this is one understatedly wonderful specimen!  It is incredibly pleasing on the eye and is also tactile, making you want to keep rotating it to see the ever changing three-dimensional structure and amazing play of light with ever changing colours; this due to its surface of lustrous velvety satin and silk textures.  From the  Shilu mine in Guangdong, China, this specimen is complete all round with no matrix or point of attachment, forming sinuous, botryoidal mounds and crinkled domes of deep bottle-green lustrous Malachite which dissolves to shades of brilliant emerald-green as it is rotated.  Enough of the superlatives!  Seeing is believing!!!
