An aesthetic and quite striking specimen of large, well developed Quartz crystals completely included with dark green Chlorite and sat on a matrix of Andradite garnet crystals. From the Sinerechenskoe skarn occurrence at Primorsky Krai in Russia, the intensity of the Chlorite makes the Quartz crystals appear almost black, although a hint of green pervades. The crystals are long and slender with smooth, regular hexagonal terminations and rough prism faces built from sub-2 mm vertically-aligned Quartz crystals. The tallest crystal measures 8 cm long and all the Quartz has a brilliant glassy lustre. The Andradite garnet crystals around the base are transparent to translucent, equant and of burnt-orange to clove brown. A very showy Quartz with Andradite from Russia.
