Siderite with Quartz and Dolomite

ID: CC19585
Coffee-tan rhombic crystals of Siderite averaging 1.5 cm on edge are densely coated with tiny Quartz crystals of 3 to 5 mm tall and preferentially coated with sub-mm pale grey-cream Dolomite crystals.  This lovely specimen is from the Příbram mining district in the Czech Republic, and although not a lot of the Dolomite is visible, that which is, is a rich colour with a bright, yet slight, waxy lustre.  Viewed from one direction, the Dolomite can be seen coating the Siderite, but form the opposite direction, the carpet of quartz crystals become instantly apparent.  A great combination of these three species.
