This specimen comprises of the top terminated part of a fabulous jet-black Schorl crystal from Tubussis Farm 22 in the Karibib District of Erongo Region, Namibia, where the mineralisation occurs here in miarolitic cavities within the Erongo granite.  This specimen is an excellent and aesthetic example of Schorl crystals which exhibit complex composite terminations.  These are built from myriads of much smaller-scale Schorl crystals which combine to form a Mercedes-type triangular habit.  All terminations are perfect and highly lustrous, forming a highly pleasing specimen.
