Platy, spear-like crystals of golden-honey Baryte entirely cover a thin plate of grey matrix with crystals of up to 2 x 1 x 0.4 cm.  This small miniature is from the Baryte mine at Brunndöbra, in Vogtland, Saxony, Germany.  The Baryte crystals vary between semi-transparent and translucent and are dusted with a sparse yet pervading coverage of golden micro-crystals of Pyrite.
