ID: CC19673
Rare silver minerals frequently occurred in the ore deposits of the Příbram Mining District within the Czech Republic and some of these have been gradually replaced by Native Silver, so producing excellent and much sought after pseudomorphs. This fine small cabinet piece is a magnificent example of Native Silver replacing Pyrargyrite and Stephanite; both silver antimony sulphosalts. The majority of the crystals are now altered to a matt sooty black surface layer yet are strewn with a pervasive filigree network of whitish silver Native Silver as micro-crystalline granules. A beautiful and eye-catching Native Silver pseudomorph.
