About eight small octahedral Fluorite crystals to 8 mm on edge are scattered over a flat plate of sub-3 mm translucent tan Quartz crystals interspersed with sub-mm platelets of greenish-yellow pearly mica, variety Zinnwaldite.  The Fluorite is an intensely deep blackberry-purple, almost black, although when strongly back-lit, some edges become translucent lilac, but these are not common.  The octahedral crystals are built from stacked smaller crystals, giving a highly stepped, blocky growth development.  An impressive specimen from Cínovec/Zinnwald in Saxony and Ústí Region of Germany and the Czech Republic.
