A rather pleasing group of lustrous glassy deep tan Calcite crystals form tilted pagoda-like stacks culminating in “Dutchman’s cap” hexagonal Calcite terminations of translucent cream.  This delightful specimen is from the Cínovec/Zinnwald ore field that spans the border between Germany and the Czech Republic. The multitude of glassy crystal faces produces an eye-catching play of light no matter which direction or angle the specimen is viewed from.
