A stunning thumbnail composed of two superb Bornite crystals from the Dzhezkazgan Mining District in the Karaganda Region of Kazakhstan.  Although neither crystal is fully complete, they remain extremely fine examples of well crystallised Bornite, a species so common as massive peacock ore, but extremely rare as good crystals.  A magnificent 1 cm wide Bornite crystal is attached to a larger crystal some 2 cm at its widest point.  The Bornite is gunmetal-grey with a most attractive subtle iridescence of pale coral-pink, metallic-blue, and leafy-green.  An excellent example of the species.
