This Native Gold specimen forms a striking small miniature/large thumbnail composed of a roughly 2 x 1 cm Gold sheet protruding vertically from a light grey Quartz matrix with one surface coated with micro-crystals of Quartz.  The specimen is mounted on a small square acrylic base which shows it off to full advantage.  The Native Gold sheet has hackly edges and under low magnification is built from beautiful dendritic crystals which form mats of intergrown branches.  The Gold is bright buttery-yellow and occasionally gives off flashes of light metallic iridescent lime-green.  Superb!
