Two individual, stubby, double terminated milky Quartz crystals from the hydrothermal veins around Brilon in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.  In reflected light the crystals are opaque with a dull, waxy lustre, but in transmitted light, one is translucent milky-white and the other, patchy tangerine and white, due to surface and internal iron staining.  The two crystals are of similar size, the slightly larger iron-stained crystal measures 2.9 x 1.6 x 1.4 cm and the milky white crystal, 2.7 x 1.5 x 1.3 cm.
