Quartz var. Smoky Quartz with Fluorapatite

ID: CC19882
Two co-joined Smoky Quartz crystals sprinkled with hundreds of sub-mm glassy Fluorapatite crystals make a fine specimen from HornĂ Slavkov in the Czech Republic.  The Quartz, save for the Fluorapatite coating, is highly transparent and has a uniform, warm sherry-tan smokiness.  One crystal diverges into two crystals close to its apex, hence giving the specimen three complete terminations.  Close to the terminations of the double Quartz crystal are four 1 to 2 mm Fluorapatites; a cluster three opaque snow-white hexagonal crystals and a single pale lilac crystal.
