A 9 x 5 mm group of tiny octahedral Scheelite crystals are attached to a prism face of a pair of black Morion Quartz crystals with a light grey outer layer from the Zinnwald-Cínovec orefield. This rich orebody has been works since the Middle Ages and is divided by the border between Germany and the Czech Republic, hence the twinned locality name. The Quartz crystals measure 6.5 and 8 cm tall and are surrounded by splayed hexagonal books of silvery Zinnwaldite mica crystals. Zinnwaldite nowadays described a mica series rather than an individual species. The smaller of the two Quartz crystals has one terminated face cleaved-off where the internal jet black (Morion) Quartz is visible.
