Tetrahedrite with Siderite

ID: CC19922
Silver-white crystals of Tetrahedrite are scattered over sharp, rhombohedral Siderite crystals lining a 5.0 x 2.5 cm shallow open vug on a banded veinstone matrix of mixed sulphides.  This specimen is from the Příbram mining district of the Czech Republic and its flat base bears an old Příbram Museum label, just of the correct size to have been glued on.  The Tetrahedrite crystals occur as interpenetrant twins of between 3 and 5 mm wide.  Minor creamy-white Calcite is also present.
