ID: CC19946
Micro-crystals of the rare silver-arsenic sulphosalt Xanthoconite form tiny clusters of orange-red to carmine-red over the surface of a dull, dark-grey Native Arsenic matrix. This specimen is from Třebsko within the Příbram mining district of the Czech Republic. The Native Arsenic forms botryoidal surfaces made-up of sub-millimetre diameter hemispheres over which the Xanthoconite has been deposited. Two translucent golden-tan blades of likely Siderite lie adjacent the Xanthoconite. A great small miniature of this rare sulphosalt.
