Botryoidal black Wood Tin forms the bubbly surface of this variety of Cassiterite. Wood Tin is known from several localities throughout Cornwall, this specimen being from St Agnes, a small coastal mining district due north of Redruth. This lovely example comes with a Dr F. Krantz of Bonn label, beautifully handwritten in copperplate text. The specimen is mounted on a small clear acrylic base.
