Baryte with Calcite

A fascinating cluster of gorgeous, acidic lemon yellow tipped, colourless Baryte crystals on Calcite from the iconic Příbram District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. The Baryte forms broad flattened crystals which have developed epitaxially in a parallel array against the Calcite, resulting in one broad, slightly stepped face across the display surface. The lustre across this area is stunning, that of highly polished glass with an extra splash of Window-bright! This is without doubt a wonderful miniature with its eye-catching golden tips and mirror-like reflectance.
