Quartz var. Sceptre Amethyst

$250.00   €228  £200.00 approx.

This specimen is priced in US dollars, all other prices are approximate.

ID: CC20125
A steep and sharply terminated Amethyst crystal from the Chiredzi mining district in Masvingo Province, Zimbabwe, with two attached sceptre stems of milky Quartz, each set at ninety degrees to one another. For a crystal to be termed ‘sceptre’, the stem and head (first and second generation growths) must be in axial alignment, so because of this rule, one of the stems is not an actual sceptre.   The main Amethyst crystal is 4.5 cm long and has window pattern growths in some of the termination faces.
