Native Bismuth

ID: CC20170
An ancient specimen from the old Johanngeorgenstadt mines in the Saxony silver mining region of Germany. There is a lovely old label attached to the specimen dating from the mid 1800’s detailing the specimen to be ‘feather’ bismuth which is a superbly distinctive name for the featherlike patternation the skeletal bismuth crystals have taken.
