A part cubic crystal of opaque and intensely dark purple Fluorite that appears almost black.  From HornĂ Slavkov in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic, this ex-matrix crystal is built from multiple-stacked cubic crystals of a few mm across and rough textured faces.  Together, these give the whole crystal an almost matt appearance, with only a slight lustre to the faces.
