Stubby scalenohedral Calcite crystals averaging 2 cm tall with a preferential directional coating of micro-crystalline Pyrite.  From the Příbram District, Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic, the light greyish-white Calcite forms squat scalenohedral crystals with complex rhombohedral growth patterns on their faces.  The Pyrite coating usually cover two Calcite faces, each aligned to a common orientation and of a dull mid-fawn colour, but a dull gold on close inspection and with a fine, sucrosic texture.
