Stubby scalenohedral Calcite crystals averaging 2 cm tall with a preferential directional coating of micro-crystalline Pyrite. From the Příbram District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, the light greyish-white Calcite forms squat scalenohedral crystals with complex rhombohedral growth patterns on their faces. The Pyrite coating usually covers two faces of each Calcite crystal, all aligned to a common orientation. The coatings are of a dull mid-fawn colour yet are dull gold on close inspection with a fine, sucrosic texture.
