Micro-crystals of bright azure-blue Azurite pervade the narrow fractures throughout a hard dark-grey slatey matrix from Rheinbreitbach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.  An equal coverage of emerald-green microcrystalline Malachite surrounds the Azurite with small areas filled with caramel-brown Limonite.

Ex. the Mineral Collection of Archduke Stephan Franz Viktor of Hungary (1817 to 1867), with a historic Archduke (Erzherzog) Stephan label incorporating his coat of arms.  This label measures 8.6 x 4.8 cm; it is complete (untrimmed) and is numbered 141/34.  A Carl Rumpff label, dated 1889 is glued to one side of the specimen plus and its accompanying number, once glued o the specimen accompanies the label in a protective envelope.  This smaller sized Archduke label is in near perfect condition.  Two additional old hand written labels accompany the specimen.
