A choice thumbnail of beautifully crystallised Native Gold from Roşia Montană in Alba County, Romania.  This compact yet vuggy specimen is composed from folded crystallised sheets of Native Gold intermixed and cemented by micro-crystallised light-grey to milky Quartz.  All surfaces of the Gold sheets display the equilateral triangular habit of crystallisation, with nested tringles adding to the aesthetic.  A first-class specimen and even more extraordinary under low magnification using a small hand lens to study the various crystal habits.
