A classic specimen of smoky-blue and pink-champaign Topaz nestling amongst Zinnwaldite on a matrix of milky translucent blades of Albite feldspar, the variety known as Cleavelandite.  From the world-famous Volodarsk-Volynskii pegmatite complex in Zhytomyr Oblast', Ukraine, the primary Topaz crystal measures approximately 6 x 3 x 1.5 cm and lies flat against the Albite with a smaller Topaz crystal on its side.  The Topaz crystals range from semi-transparent to translucent and grade from a smoky cyan-blue through to pink and golden champaign.  Thick blocky books of deep bronze to black Zinnwaldite nicely punctuate the specimen.  A very well-priced Ukrainian classic.
