Without doubt this is the most aesthetic and beautiful miniature Azurite I have ever had the pleasure of seeing or handling; it is quite simply magnificent.  Upwards of nine large and perfectly terminated transparent, gemmy Azurite crystals stand near-vertically from a thin yet strong plate of greyish-green carbonate matrix.  One former crystal is missing, cleaved across its base, quite possibly occurring while in-situ through either tectonic movement or when blasting.  Smaller Azurite crystals sit between the larger and are enhanced even further by a 2.5 cm long patch of micro-granular earthy, olive-green Malachite.  The main Azurite crystals are between 2 to 2.5 cm tall and when simply front-lit, are of such an intense and dark azure-blue they appear almost black and opaque, but with a quality and stature filled with the promise of greater things to come.  Back-lit, every section of each crystal radiates a breathtakingly stunning electric neon-blue light.  This is a fantastic specimen, destined to become a wonderful and prized new addition to someone‚Äôs collection!
