Another fabulous cabinet specimen from the magically-named Fairy Holes Pocket at Lady Annabella mine, a pocket which has produced many specimens of ethereal beauty.  Covering a trimmed matrix of iron-rich metasomatized limestone, Fluorite crystals, displaying all the characteristic features that Fairy Holes is known for, richly adorn.  This specimen is remarkable for its coverage of large single and interpenetrant twinned crystals.  As is commonly observed in nature, twinned crystals are typically much larger than the surrounding singles, and this is certainly the case here.  Two large (2 x 2 x 2 cm) and two smaller twins perch on a bed of Fluorite cubes of between 3 and 10 mm, together with several 1 cm plus single crystals.  The larger crystals are gemmy, beautifully colour zoned green and purple and display stunning daylight fluorescence, exhibiting brilliant and intense deep Royal purple.  A spectacular Fairy Holes Pocket Fluorite.
