This elongated rib of straw to pale lemon Fluorite crystals is from The Bull Vein at Lady Annabella mine.  Veins were once deep-seated fractures which acted as high permeability conduits between subsurface brines and the present day mineralised metasomatic flats.  Mineral deposition in the fractures formed what we now term veins, eventually plugging them and choking-off fluid circulation.  This group of intergrown cubic crystals, the largest to 1.8 cm on edge, is mainly transparent, with several crystals displaying white sucrosic cloudy centres.
