Fluorite and Halides

ID: CC20612
A gorgeous super-gemmy small miniature of beautifully zoned green and purple Fluorite from the delightfully named Fairy Holes Pocket at Lady Annabella mine in Weardale, County Durham.  Many interpenetrant twins and single crystals coat a hard limestone matrix with a sawn base, with all crystals, save the largest twin, being a uniform dusky nickel sea-green.  The twin, whose crystals each measure 1.5 cm on edge, has near-perfect optical clarity and exquisite colour zoning, from colourless through a spectrum of greens with an included purple band.  A stunning small miniature from the Fairy Holes Pocket.
