A beautiful Fairy Holes Pocket Fluorite from Lady Annabella mine at Eastgate, the former site of the Eastgate and Blue Circle Cement quarries.  Completely covering a domed nodule of iron-rich altered limestone, deep chrome to nickel sea-green Fluorite crystals form individual single crystals with one exquisite interpenetrant twin in the centre.  The surrounding crystals have translucent to opaque frosted centres with more gemmy edges and corners, like those of Poison Ivy Pocket, but a completely different shade of green.  A crude, naturally etched, lead-grey cuboctahedral Galena crystal sits at one side.  Sideways-on, both twinned crystals are water-clear and exhibit wonderful colour zoning in many shades of green with one dominant purple band.  In direct but not strong sunlight, the larger crystals, both the twin and singles, fluoresce a stunning rich and intensely deep Royal bluish-purple.  A sublime Fluorite from Fairy Holes Pocket.
