Galena with Quartz

ID: CC20641
The Layer Cake Pocket at Lady Annabella mine is rich in Galena and this is a fine small miniature of its characteristic Galena crystals dusted with gemmy, equant double terminated colourless Quartz crystals.  The Galena crystals measure up to 2.5 cm across and form naturally etched and pitted cubes with some modifications to the cuboctahedron.  A lovely example from a pocket which produced very few specimens.
