The quite extraordinary Fluorite from the Poison Ivy Pocket at Lady Annabella mine is proving a winner with everyone who sees it.  This is a good-size cabinet specimen formed from a domed cluster of intergrown green Fluorite crystals covering greyish-white Fluorite and an iron-rich altered limestone matrix.  The Fluorite forms cubic crystals to between 2 and 3.5 cm on edge, all with acidic apple-green gemmy edges and corners grading to translucent frosted face centres of sugary whiteish apple green.  The gemmy corners and edges contrasting with the cloudy centres is remarkable and delightful.  In direct daylight the greens intensify and the gemmy frameworks glow blue-purple through natural fluorescence.  A mouth-watering specimen which is sure to please even the most seasoned Fluorite collector!
