Fluorite
ID: CC20969
This wonderful ex-matrix cluster of five prominent cubic Fluorite crystals is from the Okorusu mine in the Otjiwarongo District of Namibia. The largest crystal measures 1.9 cm on its longest edge and all display superb clarity and colour zoning. All faces are edged with a thin dark purple, almost black outer rim shortly followed by an indigo-blue pencil thin cubic phantom. The highly transparent Fluorite then becomes almost colourless down to a translucent and patchy opaque central leaf-green cubic core. Peering into these crystals is a thing of beauty. A sensationally colour-zoned Fluorite from the Okorusu mine.
