Fluorite

Fluorite from the Okorusu mine in the Otjiwarongo District of Namibia is distinctive for its green, blue and purple zoning and has become a collector’s favourite.  A 2.2 x 2.2 x 2.2 cm cubic crystal with modified stepped corners, outer sky-blue, indigo and purple zoning and a leaf-green core dominates this delightful miniature.  It is attached to several smaller cubes of similar colour and zoning and at one end a thin matrix of orange-yellow and cream crude Feldspar crystals is attached.  A great representative example of a classic Okorusu Fluorite.
