This ex-matrix Fluorite is from the Okorusu mine in the Otjiwarongo District of Namibia and is comprised of a jumble of crystals set at different angles and range from around 0.6 to 2.4 cm on edge.  The crystals are mainly transparent yet contain translucent zones where the complexity of nested phantoms diminishes the clarity to intense deep emerald greens and violet-purples.  This specimen is particularly interesting in that it exhibits inner cubic phantoms whose faces are rotated into non-parallel orientation with respect to the outer faces.  Once examined, any crystal face is superbly colour-zoned in shades of leafy-emerald green, deep indigo blue, violet and even colourless Fluorite.  Yet another wonderful variation on the complex Fluorites produced from the world-famous Okorusu mine.
