As a connoisseur of Tsumeb material I can genuinely say this is a really terrific combination of Dioptase with Calcite which will certainly stand out in any collection or display.  Admittedly the Dioptase crystals are small, typically 1 to 3 mm across, but their uniformity of size and even dispersal amongst the snow-white rhombic Calcite crystals produces a colourful mottled plate of speckled bright emerald green and pure white.  Because of their size, the Dioptase allows more light entry, so lightening their emerald colour and adding a bright glint to the crystals.  The snow-white Calcite also underlies the Dioptase, which again cranks-up the bright intensity.  Although one never knows for certain, specimens such as this with Dioptase coating white Calcite are likely from 32 level, a discovery made in 1975.  A gorgeous triangular-shaped specimen of bright Dioptase on Calcite from the truly iconic Tsumeb mine in Namibia.
