ID: CC21123
The rare bismuth silicate Eulytine forms orange-brown, often sub-botryoidal crystals with a glossy resinous lustre over a complex mixture of intergrown milky Quartz and light silver sulphides, or possibly sulphosalts. This rich specimen is from its type locality around the town of Schneeberg in the Erzgebirge district of Saxony, Germany. The Eulytine crystals richly cover a good 4 x 3 cm area on the top of this miniature and exhibit many crystal habits ranging from angular tetrahedra to rounded spherical clusters. A rare silicate from Schneeberg and ex. the Dr Josef Clemente Collection of southern Germany.
