Amethyst from Heißer Stein mine in the Wölsendorf Fluorite Mining District of Germany is very uncommon and the Hematite-included variety is even rarer.  This excellent small cabinet/large miniature is a double combination, formed from a bed of deep purple Amethyst crystals whose terminated surfaces are included with finely disseminated Hematite to produce a superb mottled orangey-brick red Eisenkiesel display face.  This is a delightful and rare mix of well crystallised Quartz of both Amethyst and Eisenkiesel varieties with epimorph cast of cubic Fluorite crystals on the base.
