Although the Native Bismuth and Skutterudite are mostly obscured by the rich coating of pale powder-pink Erythite, they clearly constitute a large percentage of the specimen based on the specimen’s high density, apparent from its relatively high weight to small volume ratio. A rich Quartz veinstone matrix, encrusted with stubby Quartz crystals on its base, is covered with greyish-silver Native Bismuth with Skutterudite, the latter displaying small millimetre-sized crystal clusters which occasionally protrude above the Erythite coating. Small patches of crystallised Native Bismuth are also exposed. A historic specimen from Schneeberg in Saxony, Germany, type locality for both Native Bismuth and Erythite and ex. the Josef Clemente (1899-1987) Collection of southern Germany.
