A remarkably good small miniature of crystallised Olivenite with minor Azurite and likely Gartrellite from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. This is a so-called three-dimensional specimen with Olivenite crystals covering every surface and although small, several possible points of attachment can be seen around the periphery. The Olivenite forms hundreds of superb, blocky lozenge-shaped crystals of typically 1 to 1.5 mm across, of dark olive-green which appear almost black. These crystals are semi-translucent to opaque and have a bright glassy lustre. Although not readily apparent, many gemmy, bright blue crystals of Azurite are scattered amongst the Olivenite which provide flashes of electric-blue when caught in bright light. Small sprays of minty-leaf green Malachite are also scattered over the surface and at one end a 1 x 1 cm neon-lime green patch is probably the lead-copper-iron arsenate Gartrellite. A simply superb miniature Olivenite from Tsumeb from the Dr Josef Clemente Collection of southern Germany.
